Pizarro out to end Dortmund reign

Bayern Munich s Claudio Pizarro has made his intentions clear, stating he wants to end Borussia Dortmund s hold on the Bundesliga title.

The striker penned a one-year deal with the Champions League runners-up after scoring 60 goals in 103 appearances for Werder Bremen since returning to Germany in 2008 following an unsuccessful stint in English football with Chelsea.

Now, speaking for the first time since returning to the club he previously turned out for between 2001 and 2007, Pizarro has set his sights on scoring the goals in Bayern s push for success on all fronts next term.

I hope I m the addition that gets Bayern back winning titles again, he said.

I want to win major titles in Europe. There are things in my career that I want to achieve, the Champions League title is one of these.

Bayern Munich were runners-up in the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League over the past season.
