Market: Both teams to score
Odds: 7/10 @
Knowing that they can secure a European finish on Friday night, Roma will make the trip to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Friday night.
Starting with the hosts, while Torino might have only just held onto their Serie A status last season, the Bulls have really shown a host of improvements this time around. Gaining plenty of plaudits from across Italy throughout the 2021/22 campaign, Head Coach Ivan Jurić knows that his side are sat in pole position to clinch a top-half finish. Last seen over the weekend when putting in another gritty display as they picked up a 1-0 win away at Verona, the Granata have lost just one of their last eight matchups, a run that stems all the way back to March 18th. However, despite managing to snatch points off of both Atalanta and Lazio on their extended purple patch, Torino have shown some issues on home soil. Including defeats against Cagliari and Venezia, Torino have won just one of their previous seven contests in front of their own supporters.
As for the visitors, while Roma might still find themselves sat in pole position to clinch another European finish this season, Jose Mourinho s men are in the midst of a recent rut. Appearing to just about drag themselves over the finish line, the one-time Manchester United boss has seen his side win just one of their last seven matchups across all formats. While the Italian giants might have booked their spot in the final of this year s Europa Conference League thanks to a 2-1 aggregate victory against Premier League outfit Leicester, the Giallorossi have the feel of a side seeking a much-needed boost. Likewise, it should be noted, in a contest that famously produces chances at both ends of the pitch, three of the last four meetings between Thursday s opponents have finished with both teams finding the net.
